Ashgabat | ORIENT. The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan (SCS) has summarized the performance of the digital system "Single Window for Export-Import Operations." Statistics for 2025 confirm a large-scale transformation of foreign trade: the number of permits issued electronically reached 189,954, 2.7 times higher than the previous year.

Transparency and Speed 24/7. Today, the Single Window system is more than just a database, but a complex interdepartmental mechanism uniting 19 ministries and agencies. This unified digital environment enables the provision of 29 types of services necessary for cross-border trade. Thanks to its 24/7 operation, the system processes an average of approximately 1,000 documents per day.

Centralized Control. The launch of the Control and Analysis Center at the State Customs Service headquarters has been a key factor in its effectiveness. Now, every request from over 12,000 registered participants in foreign trade activities is directly monitored. This eliminates bureaucratic delays: registration and processing occur in real time under the supervision of supervisory authorities.

Social Focus and International Experience. Alongside technological development, the agency is strengthening its human resources and social capabilities. January 2026 marked the awarding of outstanding employees and the opening of a new residential building for officers of the Balkan Velayat Customs Service.

At the end of the year, the Garabogaz post was named the winner of the Customs Post of the Year competition. International cooperation also remains a priority: an exchange of experience with the Customs Institute of Uzbekistan and working visits to the Russian Federation at the end of 2025 laid the foundation for further harmonizing customs procedures in the region.

The growing popularity of the Single Window demonstrates that Turkmenistan's businesses have fully embraced the digital model of interaction with the government. Reducing the time required to process documents directly impacts the country's investment attractiveness, transforming customs from a barrier into an effective service for exporters and importers.
