ChatGPT Translate: OpenAI Launches an Intelligent Translation Service
OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Translate, a new free web service that uses artificial intelligence to provide accurate text translations. Despite full support for the Russian language, the platform is currently not officially available in Russia.
The interface of the new service is extremely simple, featuring two windows—one for input and one for the translated output. Its main distinction from competitors is the ability to choose the translation style. Users can instantly turn a dry text into a formal business letter or, vice wersa, simplify it for communication with a child.
At present, the service supports around 50 languages. The mobile version of the website already allows voice queries via microphone. In the near future, developers plan to add a feature that enables text translation directly from images.
The launch of this tool is part of OpenAI’s strategy to create practical services for everyday life. Earlier, the company introduced the medical section ChatGPT Health, and now it offers a solution for overcoming language barriers with high-quality, natural-sounding translations rather than a “mechanical” effect.
