From January 14 to 19, an international seminar titled “The Rule of Law” was held in Tokyo, attended by a representative of Turkmenistan, Dovletmyrat Berdiyev. The lecturer of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan took part in the prestigious MIRAI exchange program organized by the Government of Japan for the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus.

Studies at Keio University

The main educational program was conducted at Keio University, one of Japan’s leading higher education institutions. Under the guidance of renowned professors, participants studied modern approaches to the modernization of legal systems and ways to strengthen legal culture in society. The program included not only lectures but also active discussions, during which specialists exchanged international experience.

The Link Between Law and Culture

An important part of the visit was a tour of the university museum, where guests were introduced to the history of the development of Japan’s education system. This allowed participants to clearly see how the country’s scientific and cultural heritage influences the evolution of modern legislation.

Participation in such seminars enables Turkmen specialists to introduce advanced international practices into the educational process. The experience gained will contribute to strengthening professional ties between Turkmenistan and Japan, as well as to the development of legal awareness among young people.
