A large-scale exhibition, "Songs of the Sands" opened in the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the birth of master artist Berdiguly Amansakhatov. The event was marked not only by the presentation of over 110 unique works but also by the solemn recognition of the artist's international contribution to the dialogue of cultures.

According to the TASS news agency, during the exhibition opening, Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin presented Amansakhatov with the Honorary Compatriot Badge of Honor. This award recognizes Amansakhatov's long-standing work in strengthening creative ties between the two countries.

Throughout his life, a graduate of the renowned Surikov Institute in Moscow skillfully interweaves the academic Russian school with profound Eastern philosophy and the flavor of the Turkmen desert in his work.

Berdiguly Amansakhatov is a unique figure. He is known as a painter and book illustrator, a film and theater designer, whose visual language in the play "Dzhan" based on Andrei Platonov's novel was a true revelation for the theater world. His paintings are held in private collections in many countries.

The "Songs of the Sands" exhibition itself became a retrospective of the artist's creative journey. His works were recently successfully exhibited in Kazan at the BRICS summit, and today Ashgabat residents can personally see the maestro's graphic works and paintings, which encode timeless legends of the Karakum Desert and profound philosophical reflections.

"Berdiguly Goshaevich is closely connected to Russia and recognized in many countries. His exhibition in Kazan in 2024 was a resounding success, confirming his status as a world-class artist," TASS quotes the Russian diplomat as saying.
