Ashgabat, January 19 | ORIENT. Today, a video meeting was held between the foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and Austria, Rashid Meredow and Beate Meinl-Reisinger. Discussing a "wide range of issues," the parties considered the possibility of organizing high-level meetings in 2026, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.

The parties compared notes on the UN, EU, and OSCE, where Ashgabat and Vienna frequently put forward similar initiatives.

The dialogue between Ashgabat and Vienna has recently acquired particular significance. The planned high-level visits could become a starting point for new major investment contracts.
