In the coming days, a change in weather conditions is forecast across Turkmenistan. After a relatively warm start to the week, colder air masses will move into the country, leading to a drop in temperatures and precipitation in several regions.

According to meteorologists, Turkmenistan is located on the periphery of a cold anticyclone. As a result, air masses from Kazakhstan are entering the country, with their influence expected to intensify on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Monday, no significant precipitation is expected across the country. Nighttime temperatures will range from −4 to +1°C, dropping to −7°C in the northern regions. In the Ahal and Mary velayats, temperatures of −1 to +4°C are observed in some areas. During the day, temperatures in the Dashoguz velayat and the northern part of the Balkan velayat will range from −4 to +1°C, while other regions will see +2 to +7°C.

On Tuesday night, temperatures in the Dashoguz velayat will drop to −5…−10°C. In other regions, nighttime temperatures will range from −4 to +1°C, locally up to +3°C. During the day, temperatures will be −3…+2°C in the north and +2…+7°C elsewhere, reaching up to +9°C in the south. Precipitation in the form of rain mixed with wet snow is possible in the Balkan, Ahal, Mary and Lebap velayats. In the Balkan velayat, wind speeds may increase to 12–17 m/s.

On Wednesday, the inflow of cold air masses will intensify. Nighttime temperatures will range from −4 to +1°C across the country, reaching up to +4°C in the southeast. Daytime temperatures are expected to drop to −3…+2°C. Milder weather will persist in the Caspian coastal areas. Wet snow and snow are possible in the Balkan and Ahal velayats, while rain turning into wet snow is expected in the Mary and Lebap velayats. Wind speeds may reach 10–15 m/s in the Ahal and Mary velayats.

On Thursday night, temperatures in the Dashoguz velayat may fall to −6…−11°C, while other regions will see −3…−8°C. In the Caspian coastal areas, temperatures will range from −1 to +4°C. During the day, temperatures in the Balkan velayat will rise to +4…+9°C, while other regions will experience −4…+1°C. Snow is possible in eastern parts of the Ahal velayat, as well as in the Mary and Lebap velayats.

On Friday, temperatures will become more comfortable. Nighttime temperatures will range from −1 to −6°C, locally up to +4°C. During the day, temperatures will generally be +3…+8°C across the country, reaching up to +11°C in some areas.

Weather in Ashgabat On Monday, nighttime temperatures in Ashgabat will be −1…+1°C, daytime temperatures +5…+7°C, with no precipitation expected.

On Tuesday night, temperatures will be 0…+2°C, rising to +3…+5°C during the day, with a drop to 0°C by evening. Rain turning into snow is possible. On Wednesday night, temperatures will be −1…−3°C, daytime −2…−4°C, with snowfall expected and possible icy conditions on roads.

On Thursday night, temperatures will be −4…−7°C, daytime −1…+2°C, with no precipitation, though icy conditions may persist.

On Friday night, temperatures will be −4…−7°C, daytime +4…+7°C, with no precipitation.
