Ashgabat, January 16 | ORIENT. The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) is entering a new phase of technological upgrades. The focus is on the Kenar storage and loading facility, the refinery's gateway for shipping products to consumers.

At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov presented a plan for the extensive modernization of this infrastructure.

The Kenar facility is responsible for the critically important supply chain: reception, storage, and shipment. It is from here that Turkmen fuel, lubricants, and other refined products are transported to consumers via rail and air.

What the Modernization Will Change:

Logistics optimization: The new equipment will reduce tank loading time, which is important for maintaining export delivery schedules.

Storage reliability: Upgrading the tank farm will minimize losses and improve environmental safety along the Caspian coast.

Transport potential: Upgrading the shipping system will allow the refinery to operate at full capacity without fear of logistics delays.

In approving the project, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the oil refining industry must develop "in line with the realities of the times." Given the growing demand for Turkmen fuel and lubricants in foreign markets, the Kenar upgrade is not just a repair, but an investment in the country's status as a reliable energy supplier.
