Students of Harbin Engineering University achieved a notable success at the 18th International Student Snow Sculpture Competition held in the Chinese city of Harbin. Their work, symbolically titled “Pride of Turkmenistan,” won second place, with dignity presenting national culture on the international stage.

The authors of the sculpture were Didar Serdarov, Ilmurad Rejepov, Yusupjan Jorayev, and Bagtyyar Amanov. At the center of the composition stands the Ahalteke stallion, one of the key symbols of Turkmenistan. Created from snow and ice, the image impressed the jury with its elegance, dynamism, and the noble character of the legendary “heavenly horses.”

The significance of the achievement was further enhanced by the fact that the competition took place during the Year of the Horse, which symbolizes devotion to tradition, strength of spirit, and harmony — qualities that the Ahalteke horse has embodied throughout history.

The second-place award was marked by a Certificate from the Competition Organizing Committee, held with the support of the National Methodological Subcommittee for Education in Industrial Design.
