2026 has been declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has signed the first decree of this year, according to which 2026 has been officially declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman.
The main objectives of the initiative are:
• To shape a national image of the working woman.
• To promote the role of women in preserving traditions and developing modern society.
What is planned?
The government, together with local executive committees, has been instructed to develop a large-scale national action plan. The coordination of efforts by state bodies and organizations to implement this plan has also been entrusted to the government.
The decree will enter into force after its official publication.
