The Chinese company TARS Robotics has unveiled a robot that has learned to work with soft fabrics. In front of spectators, the humanoid carefully threaded a needle and embroidered a complex pattern. This became a sensation, as working with flexible materials has always been one of the greatest challenges for machines.

Fabric constantly deforms, so it is not enough for a robot to simply repeat movements. It must sense the tension of the thread and instantly adapt to every change. Until now, such precision had been achievable only by human hands.

The success was made possible by the TARS DATA AI PHYSICS technology. Engineers trained the artificial intelligence to understand the physics of objects rather than just follow commands. First, the robot practices in a digital environment, and then transfers flawless skills into real life without errors.

According to CEO Chen Yilun, sewing is just one example. The same technology will allow robots to assemble complex wiring in aircraft, install components in electronics, and assist doctors in microsurgery.

The project has already attracted $240 million in investment. High demand from industry confirms that such humanoids will soon replace humans in the most delicate and meticulous areas of production.
