Kunming, December 23 | ORIENT. A specialized course for technical specialists from the energy sector and relevant agencies of Turkmenistan concluded in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. The program focused on advanced methods for monitoring and ensuring the safety of cross-border oil and gas infrastructure.

Energy security requires, first and foremost, high technology and preventive maintenance. The five-day intensive course in China allowed Turkmen engineers and representatives of relevant agencies to practice innovative approaches to managing complex pipeline systems in mountainous and rugged terrain.

The training program, organized with the support of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the People's Republic of China, utilized a "theory plus professional training" model.

Participants studied methods for sealing systems under operating pressure, modern methods for quickly replacing components, and automated pipeline integrity monitoring.

Particular attention was paid to instant response systems that prevent any environmental impacts during pipeline maintenance.

The course culminated in practical exercises, where Turkmen specialists, together with their Chinese colleagues from the Kunming branch of the National Petroleum Pipeline Administration demonstrated their coordinated efforts. They practiced real-time interaction algorithms. A unique element was the practice of delivering technical equipment to hard-to-reach pipeline sections in mountainous terrain.

These activities are part of a long-term strategy within the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, according to the Chinese organizers. Joint personnel training enables systematic improvement of the operational reliability of strategic pipelines, ensures stable energy supplies throughout the region, and introduces unified digital safety monitoring standards.

Turkmenistan, as a key energy supplier to China, confirms its status as a responsible partner that prioritizes technological excellence and the security of its export capacities.
