Google Disco: A new AI-powered browser that turns tabs into smart applications
Google has introduced Disco, an experimental browser designed to explore new approaches to working on the internet through deep integration with artificial intelligence (AI). Disco is not intended to replace Chrome but will serve as a platform for innovation.
The browser uses the Gemini 3 neural network and is capable of transforming any open tab into a personalized application. This allows users to conveniently collect and combine data from different websites.
Its main feature is the GenTabs function, which instantly generates custom user interfaces to consolidate information, for example when studying a new subject or planning trips. Users can refine the created application using simple text commands.
Disco automatically pulls new tabs into the main project while preserving links to the original sources. This makes it an ideal tool for rapid analysis of large volumes of information.
Currently, Disco and GenTabs are available only to participants of the Google Labs program, who must join a waiting list to gain access.
