Ashgabat, having become a global platform for global dialogue, once again confirmed its role as a center for peacekeeping and strategic cooperation.

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping on Friday sent a congratulatory message to participants of the forum held in the capital of Turkmenistan dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust. The message was published by the official news agency of the government of the People's Republic of China, Xinhua.

As Xi Jinping noted in his message, 2025 marks the International Year of Peace and Trust, proposed by Turkmenistan and approved by the UN General Assembly.

Furthermore, this year also marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's status as a permanently neutral state, the Chinese President added.

China and Turkmenistan are good friends with a common vision and reliable partners committed to mutually beneficial cooperation, the Chinese leader continued, noting that China firmly supports Turkmenistan in pursuing a policy of permanent neutrality and highly appreciates its active efforts to maintain global and regional peace and stability and promote the common development of all countries.

Xi Jinping emphasized that global challenges are currently multiplying, conflicts and confrontations are constantly emerging, and the world needs peace and trust more than ever.

According to the Chinese President, history shows that the more volatile and chaotic the international situation, the more the international community needs to join forces and support one another.

He noted the need to maintain mutual respect, trust, and understanding, address the peace deficit, firmly uphold the authority and status of the UN, resolve disputes peacefully, and resist hegemony, bullying, and the infliction of harm on others for personal gain.

Xi Jinping also called for the principle of joint consultation, shared contributions, and shared benefits to address the trust deficit, uphold fairness and justice through the international rule of law, promote unity and cooperation through multilateralism, and adhere to the principle of jointly discussing global affairs, jointly upholding the international order, and sharing the fruits of governance.

President of the People's Republic of China emphasized that his recently proposed Global Governance Initiative offers a Chinese solution to reforming and improving the global governance system. He also expressed China's readiness to work with all countries to uphold world peace, promote common development, and advance the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
