A scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality was held in the Georgian capital. It highlighted the high level of academic and cultural dialogue between the two countries. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tbilisi jointly with the Georgian National Academy of Sciences (GNAS).

The conference was attended by a Turkmen delegation, representatives of the GNAS, the Creative Union of Georgian Writers, heads of higher education institutions, and journalists. Speakers included Ambassador of Turkmenistan Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, President of the GNAS, Academician Roin Metreveli, Chairman of the Creative Union of Georgian Writers Makvala Gonashvili, and others.

In his speech, NAGS President Roin Metreveli emphasized that Turkmenistan, by consistently pursuing a foreign policy of positive neutrality, has received broad support from the Community of Nations and is making a "concrete contribution to strengthening constructive international cooperation for the sake of universal well-being and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals."

The speakers also emphasized that Turkmenistan's proactive, multifaceted efforts are aimed at realizing its peacekeeping and creative potential for the benefit of all humanity. It was particularly noted that the unanimous adoption, for the third time, of a UN resolution on permanent neutrality, initiated by Turkmenistan, clearly demonstrates the success of this policy and the country's growing international standing.

During the conference, it was emphasized that cooperation in culture and education remains a key area of Turkmen-Georgian relations. Supporting joint cultural initiatives and strengthening humanitarian ties significantly contribute to deepening mutual trust and developing a sustainable dialogue between the two countries.

The event concluded with a cultural program: a concert by Turkmen musicians and an exhibition of decorative, applied, and fine arts, allowing guests to appreciate the richness and diversity of Turkmenistan's cultural heritage.
