Ashgabat, Turkmenistan — November 2025.

PETRONAS Carigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd (PC(T)SB) reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement through two impactful initiatives this November: Tree Planting Day at PC(T)SB Gas Treatment Plant in Kiyanly – 8th November 2025 and a Coastal Cleanup Campaign along the Caspian Sea – 15th November 2025. Both activities form part of Implementation Sustainability Strategy, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), raising environmental awareness and promote responsible attitudes toward nature, particularly among the younger generation.

In conjunction with Turkmenistan’s nationwide tree-planting campaign, PC(T)SB proudly hosted Tree Planting Day at PC(T)SB Gas Treatment Plant in Kiyanly. Together with local authorities, such as the Caspian Ecological Control Service and local community, 101 trees and 743 flowers had been planted, symbolizing a shared vision for a greener future.

As it was highlighted and emphasized by PC(T)SB spokesperson “What you plant today will be your harvest tomorrow,” the Company believes that every small action today creates a lasting impact for tomorrow.

The event highlighted teamwork, purpose, and dedication — a collective effort to build a greener, more resilient environment for future generations.

Coastal Cleanup in Kiyanly — 15 November 2025

Following the tree planting initiative, PC(T)SB organized a coastal cleanup near the village of Kiyanly, in line with its Sustainability Strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). Employees, their families, and local community joined efforts to restore the natural beauty of the shoreline.

PC(T)SB Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ismadi bin Ismail personally participated with his family, underscoring the Company’s commitment to responsible environmental practices. Volunteers, including students from Secondary School No. 7 and representatives of the Caspian Ecological Control Service, collected household waste left after the summer season. After the cleanup, PETRONAS hosted recreational activities such as mass kite flying for children and provided hot meals and branded PETRONAS blankets as tokens of appreciation. This initiative complements earlier sustainability measures, including the installation of five segregated waste-collection points in Kiyanly, equipped with modern containers handed over to local authorities.
