Turkmenistan Secures Another Victory in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers

The Turkmenistan national football team recorded another win in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, defeating Chinese Taipei 3–1 in a match held in the city of Arkadag.

Rahman Myratberdiyev (13th minute), Elman Tagayev (53rd), and Meylis Diniyev (79th) found the net for Turkmenistan. Ange Samuel Kouame scored the visitors’ only goal in the 45th minute.

In another Group D fixture of the fifth round, Thailand claimed a convincing 4–0 away victory over Sri Lanka.

Following five rounds, Turkmenistan tops Group D with 12 points — the same tally as second-placed Thailand. The battle for the group’s top spot, which grants direct qualification for the continental championship, will be decided on March 31, 2026, when Thailand hosts Turkmenistan.
