Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Held Telephone Conversations with Foreign Colleagues

Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a series of telephone conversations with his foreign counterparts: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Marek Esztok, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti Mahmoud Ali Yusuf, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Mohammed Hussein.
The series of conversations reaffirmed Turkmenistan's active diplomatic agenda aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and regional stability.
In all four conversations, the foreign ministers reaffirmed their mutual readiness to further develop relations across a wide range of areas. The following shared priorities were highlighted: political and diplomatic dialogue and constructive interaction within authoritative international structures, primarily the UN; and expansion of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
Each conversation focused on preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will take place on December 12, 2025, in Ashgabat. This event is the central focus of Turkmenistan's diplomatic agenda during the International Year of Peace and Trust and coincides with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, along with the celebration of International Neutrality Day.
A series of telephone conversations between Minister Rashid Meredov and European, African, and Middle Eastern partners demonstrated the multi-vector nature of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and its focus on advancing initiatives in the areas of neutrality, peace, and sustainable development.
