The Lu Ban Workshop project, being implemented at the Yagshygeldy Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas in Ashgabat, has entered an important phase of practical implementation. A contract signing ceremony for the supply of the first batch of facilities and equipment for the future workshop was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Beijing.

The ceremony was attended by Parakhat Durdyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China, Zhang Rongjun, Vice President of Xi'an University of Petroleum, and Ma Xiancai, Vice Rector of Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University.

Ambassador Parakhat Durdyev congratulated the participants on the progress achieved in establishing the workshop, emphasizing the exceptional importance of this project. The Lu Ban Workshops are a national brand for China in vocational education and a significant component of humanitarian cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. For Turkmenistan, the workshop will become a strategic center for training qualified specialists for the oil and gas, industrial, and energy sectors.

Parahat Durdyev confirmed that the Embassy of Turkmenistan will continue to provide comprehensive support to maximize the workshop's platform for expanding in-depth cooperation in various professional fields.

Representatives of the Chinese side, in turn, noted that the successful signing of the contracts would accelerate the construction and implementation of the project. During the meeting, Vice President Zhang Rongjun also proposed the joint construction of a "Belt and Road" laboratory with the International University of Oil and Gas, aimed at deepening cooperation in scientific research and other areas. This initiative was welcomed by the Turkmen side, who emphasized their shared commitment to integrating high-quality educational, scientific, and technological resources.

The signing of the contract marked an important step in the development of a multifaceted partnership between Turkmenistan and China in higher and technical education.
