Deputy Minister Akhmed Gurbanov met with Bahman Nouri, Governor of North Khorasan Province, Iran, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The two sides noted the high level of bilateral relations, supported by systematic and dynamic high-level contacts, and exchanged views on the further development of cooperation between the two countries.

Particular attention during the talks was paid to enhancing interregional cooperation, including within the framework of the previously signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the Akhal Province of Turkmenistan and the North Khorasan Province of Iran.

The parties discussed in detail the development and expansion of cooperation in trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. To this end, specific proposals were put forward aimed at expanding cooperation in promising and mutually beneficial areas.

As part of the Iranian delegation's visit, a series of meetings are planned with the leadership of the Akhal Province and representatives of Turkmen government agencies.
