Ashgabat Expressed Condolences to Afghanistan and is Ready to Provide Humanitarian Aid


Deputy Minister Akhmet Gurbanov met with Chargé d'Affaires of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan, Fazal Muhammad Sabir, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister expressed deep sympathy and support to the Afghan diplomat in connection with the devastating earthquake in northern Afghanistan, which resulted in casualties and injuries.
Akhmet Gurbanov emphasized that Turkmenistan received this news with deep sorrow and announced the country's readiness to provide humanitarian aid to the people of fraternal Afghanistan in the near future.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan emphasized that the country continues to honorably uphold the Turkmen people's ancient traditions of providing support in difficult times, which serves as the foundation for strengthening friendly relations and good neighborliness between the countries.

This ongoing humanitarian mission is evidenced by the systematic assistance provided by the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need. The Foundation regularly sends humanitarian aid to children and the population of countries, including Afghanistan, affected by natural disasters, reaffirming Turkmenistan's unwavering commitment to supporting neighboring peoples.
