Turkmenhimiya Presents Advanced Gas Processing Projects in Germany
Frankfurt am Main, October 30 | ORIENT. At the "Days of Turkmenistan Economy" forum, Atamurat Durdyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern Turkmenhimiya, delivered a report presenting Turkmenistan's chemical industry development strategy. His presentation focused on the efficient use of the country's rich raw material base, the introduction of modern technologies, and strengthening export potential.
Atamurad Durdyev emphasized that the chemical industry is one of the most dynamically developing sectors of the Turkmen economy, meeting key agricultural needs and creating significant export potential.
The concern's strategy is based on the efficient use of natural gas as a primary raw material and the introduction of modern environmentally friendly technologies, as well as the development of key areas such as mineral fertilizers, technical and inorganic chemicals, and advanced gas processing products.
The speaker cited striking examples of technological achievements of Turkmenhimiya. These include the ammonia and carbamide plant in Garabogaz, which is equipped with energy-efficient reactors and state-of-the-art catalysts, ensuring sustainable growth in fertilizer production and strengthening food security.
Similarly, the gas-to-gasoline plant in the Akhal velayat is a unique complex in the world, implementing industrial technology for producing environmentally friendly gasoline, a symbol of Turkmenistan's innovative approach.
Turkmenhimiya continues to actively invest in its infrastructure. It was announced that the groundbreaking of a new mineral fertilizer production complex in Turkmenabat, Lebap velayat, was recently completed in collaboration with the South Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction.
The report placed particular emphasis on environmental responsibility. "All new and modernized facilities are equipped with modern emission treatment systems, automated control units, and digital monitoring platforms. This allows us to simultaneously increase productivity, reduce energy consumption, and minimize environmental impact," Atamurat Durdyev said.
He noted that international cooperation is an indispensable prerequisite for technological progress in the industry. In this context, the concern actively collaborates with leading companies and research centers from Germany, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, China, and the UAE. This partnership is essential not only for the implementation of technologies but also for the development of human capital and the training of qualified specialists.
Turkmenhimiya Concern views the forum in Germany as an important step toward expanding international cooperation and the joint creation of modern production facilities, which will strengthen Turkmenistan's position as a reliable supplier of high-quality chemical products, the speaker emphasized.
