Kazakhstan will send more athletes to the Ashgabat 2017 Games than to Rio 2016
Presentation of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games was held in Astana. The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan timed this event to the beginning of the 50-day countdown before the start of the Games, which will be held in Ashgabat on September 17-27. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the National Olympic Committee, various sports organizations and travel agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the presentation of the Ashgabat 2017 Games to the public in Astana. As the adviser of the President of the NOC of RK B.Ordabayev stated at the presentation, that the quantitative composition of the Kazakhstan team of athletes sent to the Asian Games in the Turkmen capital exceeds the number of the national team which performed at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro last year. Participants of the ceremony, held at the Ritz Carlton Astana Hotel, were informed about the preparations for the Games and the potential of the Olympic town in Ashgabat, specially built for international competitions. The complex also includes a unique press center, where the latest communication and broadcasting facilities will be at the disposal of TV reporters and journalists. Representatives of Kazakhstani media and tour operators also got acquainted with the tourist opportunities of the Turkmen capital (https://orient.tmhttps://cdn.orient.tm/storage/app/media/ru/2017/07/09/523.html), discussed the possibilities of organizing trips to Ashgabat for fans during the Asian Games-2017.
