President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent his congratulations and best wishes to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the UN.

In his message, the head of state emphasized that over the past eighty years, the UN has become a key center for uniting efforts to ensure peace, security, and sustainable development. The important documents adopted and the initiatives implemented by the Organization have formed a solid foundation for modern international relations.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that one of the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy is long-term cooperation with the UN in such fields as peace and security, energy, transport and communications, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan will continue to develop and strengthen its multifaceted cooperation with the United Nations.

In addition, the head of state wished António Guterres good health, happiness, and well-being, and extended warm congratulations and best wishes for continued success to the staff of the UN Secretariat.
