Uzbekistan has approved a set of measures to develop and promote the Uzbek language through digital technologies. By the end of 2025, an electronic platform with artificial intelligence elements will be launched to systematize new terms and provide access to dictionaries.

The program aims to expand the use of the Uzbek language in all areas, improve teaching quality, preserve linguistic purity, and strengthen its international status. Starting in 2026, government institutions will introduce advisors on spirituality and the state language.

As part of the program, annual international conferences, Olympiads, and dictations in the Uzbek language will be held. Winners of the Alisher Navoi International Olympiad will be eligible for admission to universities under state grants beyond the general quota.

Abroad, language learning centers will be established with the support of the “Vatandoshlar” (“Compatriots”) Foundation, and the Youth Affairs Agency will introduce an AI-based Uzbek language learning module under the “Ibrat Farzandlari” (“Children of Ibrat”) project. Uzbek is the official state language, spoken by about 85% of the country’s population.
