Iranian lawmakers meet with foreign ambassadors


The Parliamentary Commission on national security and foreign policy of Iran intends to meet with ambassadors from 20 countries accredited to Tehran to study bilateral relations, as well as the development of regional and international relations. Among the first, the expert level gathering was hosted in Parliament with participation of ambassadors from Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Venezuela and Cuba, “which hold very close relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran”, writes Iranian media. Such events are also scheduled for Monday and Tuesday with the participation of envoys of Russia, China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, South Africa and a number of European countries. According to the spokesman of the Commission Naghavi Hosseini, the meetings are scheduled to study the status of ties between IRI and the mentioned countries, develop parliamentary diplomacy and evaluate future of economic ties of Iran with them.
