Ambassador: Hungary is interested in strengthening cooperation with Turkmen business


Turkmen-Hungarian business cooperation can be strengthened in the automobile, agricultural, food and other industries. This is the opinion of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Turkmenistan (with residence in Tashkent) Peter Santo, who paid a working visit to Ashgabat. At a meeting with representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ambassador discussed the possibilities for intensifying contacts between Hungarian and Turkmen companies in the field of animal breeding and veterinary medicine. During the talks it was stressed that in Hungary there is a lot of experience in these areas and can be successfully applied in Turkmenistan, according to the website of the UIET. The work of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Hungarian commission on economic cooperation was discussed at a meeting of the ambassador with the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. During the talks, the issue of enhancing investment cooperation between the countries was also considered, the website of the foreign ministry said. The economy of Hungary is based on the automobile industry, as the factories of the largest car manufacturers in Europe, such as Mercedes-Benz and Audi, are located on its territory. Along with this the country has very developed agriculture, horticulture and viticulture. A significant share in Hungary's GDP comes from tourism.
