The 96th Anniversary of Poet Kerim Kurbannepesov Was Celebrated in Balkan Province
A literary and creative event was held in the Balkan province to mark the 96th anniversary of the birth of the unforgettable poet Kerim Kurbannepesov, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality. The event, titled “The Poet Loved by the People”, took place in the library of Secondary School No. 13 named after D. Ovlyyaguliyev in the Magtymguly district.
Turkmen literature, renowned for its richness and poetic spirit, owes much of its development to great masters of words like Kerim Kurbannepesov. The event was dedicated to preserving his bright memory and promoting his works among the younger generation.
During the gathering, talented students recited several of the poet’s verses with emotion and expression. Teachers gave detailed presentations about Kerim Kurbannepesov’s life, creative path, and the ideological and artistic depth of his poetry. Students actively responded to questions related to the poet’s life and work.
The event emphasized the importance of respecting national values and literature — an integral part of the Era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.
