The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Held an International Press Conference on the Importance of Peace and Trust

Today, a press conference on the importance of peace and trust in modern conditions was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The forum was organized in a hybrid format as part of a program of events dedicated to familiar dates – the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and the 25th anniversary of its neutrality, the proclamation of 2021 – the International Year of Peace and Trust. The press conference was attended by heads and representatives of national and foreign mass media accredited to Turkmenistan. Heads of reputable TV and radio broadcasting organizations from other countries and about 80 correspondents of news agencies from 18 countries joined the discussions via video telephony. The speakers at the meeting outlined their vision of the concepts of peace and trust, being more relevant today than ever before, highlighting the role of the media in promoting these values at all levels. The participants of the press conference emphasized the timeliness of the UN General Assembly’s proclamation of 2021 – the International Year of Peace and Trust, initiated by Turkmenistan.
