International Turkmen Alabay Competition to Be Held in Ashgabat
On October 26, Ashgabat will host the international competition “Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy,” dedicated to the Turkmen Alabay Day.
The event is organized to further enhance the global recognition of the exemplary Turkmen Alabay — a national treasure and a source of pride for the Turkmen people.
As part of the celebration, competitions will also be held among carpet weavers, artists, sculptors, photographers, publishing staff, and TV operators. Their aim is to artistically depict the appearance of Turkmen Alabays in works of visual and applied arts, published materials, photographs, and on television channels.
The President of Turkmenistan approved the jury for the competitions and signed the corresponding decree, ensuring the organization of the event in accordance with Resolution No. 2222 of April 9, 2021, “On Holding Competitions on the Occasion of Turkmen Alabay Day.”
