A meeting was held in Bern between Ambassador Vepa Khadzhiev, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Office at Geneva, and Ambassador Pierre-Yves Fuchs, Head of the Eurasian Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation.

During the talks, the parties praised the level and pace of development of bilateral relations, noting their constructive nature across the entire spectrum of cooperation.

The Swiss side particularly emphasized the importance of maintaining active dialogue and expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for organizing the summit in New York, which took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session (between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Swiss Confederation Karin Keller-Sutter).

This was the main evidence of mutual understanding and the desire of both countries to continue their active partnership.

The meeting focused on trade and economic cooperation, expanding humanitarian partnerships, international cooperation, and organizing future high-level visits.

The meeting confirmed that Turkmenistan and the Swiss Confederation are actively working to strengthen mutually beneficial ties.
