At a meeting of the Turkmen government on Wednesday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova presented the draft Strategy for the Development of Cultural Diplomacy of Turkmenistan for 2026–2052.

The approval of such a long-term document (27 years) emphasizes that cultural diplomacy is becoming one of the pillars of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, humanizing and complementing the political and economic contexts.

The Strategy views the country's rich national heritage, ancient traditions, and customs as a powerful tool for bringing peoples closer together and strengthening bonds of friendship.

The main objective of the Strategy is to transform the national cultural heritage into a powerful tool of "soft power." The document aims to promote international recognition of unique traditions, promote national values and ideals, and establish long-term interstate relations, strengthening the role of cultural diplomacy in the global community and bringing peoples closer together.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving the Strategy for the Development of Cultural Diplomacy of Turkmenistan for 2026–2052 and gave the Deputy Prime Minister instructions on implementing this long-term project.
