Ashgabat, October 7 | ORIENT. The visit of Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman to Turkmenistan featured a rich economic agenda. Accompanied by a representative business delegation from the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) and heads of leading companies, the minister attended the opening of the Turkmen-Croatian Business Forum in Ashgabat, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation.

The event reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to developing strategic economic ties. The Croatian delegation included the heads of companies such as 404, Decode, In foro Viridi, Insako, Laser Inzenjering, and Neuchemie, demonstrating the broad range of Croatian interests, from high technology and IT to industry and engineering.

Bilateral meetings also took place on the sidelines of the Turkmen-Croatian Business Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. Croatia views Turkmenistan as a valuable partner in Central Asia and a "bridge" connecting Europe with Central, South, and East Asia, underscoring the strategic importance of cooperation.

Another important event was the fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. The meeting, held at the Yildiz Hotel, was chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Goran Romek on the Croatian side. The Croatian part of the Commission included representatives of several agencies, including the Ministry of Economy.

On Wednesday, October 8, the Croatian delegation will focus on a hands-on exploration of Turkmenistan's manufacturing potential. The guests will visit the industrial sites of several private companies, including Aydin Gijeler, and the Ashgabat Textile Complex to learn about production processes.

The tour portion of the visit included visits to the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan and the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet, which showcase the country's rich cultural and historical heritage.
