From September 13 to 20, students majoring in “Mechanization of Agriculture” from the Turkmen Agricultural Institute and the Turkmen Agricultural University, together with their professors, took part in an intensive industrial training program in Germany and the Netherlands. The program focused on studying the modern technologies of the world’s leading agricultural machinery manufacturer — the American company John Deere.

As part of the training, the Turkmen delegation visited several key enterprises and centers of the company.

In Mannheim (Germany), students visited the John Deere plant, where they familiarized themselves with the full production cycle of the 6M and 6R tractor series. Special attention was given to the high level of automation and the extensive use of robotics in the assembly process. The delegation also visited the plant in Bruchsal, which specializes in the production of cabins, as well as the central spare parts warehouse.

At the European Technology and Innovation Center in Kaiserslautern, the students attended training sessions. The practical part focused on studying the “Work Planner” program for agricultural operation planning and methods of managing digital systems in modern agricultural machinery.

The training continued in Horst (Netherlands), at the plant producing mounted and self-propelled sprayers. The students studied in detail innovative systems such as “ExactApply” for precise fertilizer dosing and “See and Spray” for targeted weed detection and spraying.

According to Dovlet Durdyyev, head of the “Tractors and Agricultural Machinery” Department of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, the students gained valuable hands-on experience in learning advanced technologies, which will directly benefit them in their future work.
