President of Turkmenistan approves a totalizator using digital technologies for horse racing
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has approved the organization of a totalizator using digital technologies for horse racing held in the country.
This issue was discussed at a video conferencing government session on socio-economic development of the country’s regions and on preparations for the celebration of significant anniversaries.
At the meeting, Deputy Vice-Premier Esenmyrad Orazgeldiyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, reported to the head of state on the work being done to develop and modernize such a popular sport in the country as horse racing.
He informed that, in order to increase the profitability of the horse breeding industry, the “Turkmen Horses” State Association and the “Turkmensvyaz” Agency, based on international experience, have developed a special software and a mobile application to accept betting stake on the totalizator during horse racing.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedova noted that at present time, much attention is paid to the introduction of high-tech technologies in all industries, including the capabilities of digital systems.
“We need to actively use these opportunities in the horse breeding industry, including for the holding of horse racing at a modern level,” the president stressed.
