Agreements signed in Khiva following the Turkmen-Uzbek business forum.
A business forum was held in Khiva, Uzbekistan, with the participation of representatives from the regions and business circles of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. Following the event, a number of export contracts and memorandums of cooperation were signed, Dunyo News Agency reports.
Forum participants discussed mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, investment, industrial cooperation, and tourism. The parties expressed confidence that the launch of the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone will provide a powerful impetus for increasing trade turnover and strengthening interregional cooperation.
During the forum, delegations were introduced to the investment and export potential of the Khorezm region of Uzbekistan. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a return business mission from Khorezm to the Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan.
