Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Held Talks with US Deputy Secretary of State

On Monday, September 22, in New York, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.
During the talks, the diplomats discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the development of economic partnership, with investment and technology identified as key areas.
The important role of the Turkmen-American Business Council, which facilitates the expansion of business contacts between leading US and Turkmen companies, was also noted. Meredov and Landau also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
