World Weightlifting Championship 2018 will be the first competition to use online anti-doping system

International Weightlifting Federation, US National Weightlifting Federation and US Antidoping Agency joined efforts to provide anti-doping education to weightlifters. The organizations have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch a new system of education management, which is going to be used for the first time during World Weightlifting Championship in Ashgabat in November this year. - The International Weightlifting Federation stands for pure competition, and we continue to look for new and most effective ways to carry out all aspects of anti-doping work. This agreement will help us to make a big step forward in the development and maintenance of a culture of pure sport," said Tamhas Ayan, President of the IWF.Ayna BERDYEVA
In turn, the USADA will provide its training materials on weightlifting as a basis for the courses needed to participate in the world championships.
As the general director of this organization Travis T. Tigart noted, providing anti-doping education helps athletes to popularize sports and healthy lifestyles.
