Singer Dovran Shammyyev enters the top three of the Silk Way Star music contest
On September 20, Kazakhstan hosted the premiere of a large-scale music project that brought together talented performers from 12 countries. As we reported earlier, Turkmenistan is represented in the contest by popular performer Dovran Shammyyev.
The international jury also includes Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rasul Klychev. In the premiere episode, Shammyyev presented his own composition “Eşityäñmi olary” (“Do you hear them”). Based on the voting results of the international jury, he received 120 points and ranked among the top three.
The leader of the first episode was a contestant from Malaysia with 126 points, while second place went to a singer from Uzbekistan with 122 points. There are still 9 more episodes ahead.
It should be noted that the show includes contest tasks, cross-cultural duets, songs in dozens of languages, and a gala concert where the first star of this multicultural format will be born. The project consists of a total of 10 episodes, each lasting more than 100 minutes.
The show will air weekly, and viewers from all participating countries will be able to take part in online voting to determine the winner. The final grand show will be broadcast live on November 22 on Jibek Joly TV channel and leading channels of the participating countries.
The winner will be determined based on a combination of votes: 50% — jury’s decision, 50% — online audience voting.
