BOPP film: why to produce and whom to sell to?

On July 21, a plant for production of biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film with a capacity of 21,000 tons per year was put into operation at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR). The main advantages: BOPP film will be produced from local raw materials – polypropylene TPP 382 BF that manufactured at the TCOR. Besides, this product is in high demand at the market. Thus, the enterprise will not depend on external suppliers of raw materials. The cost of finished product of the plant will be lower than that of competitors in the region. For example, the Polymer Production Plant Kazakhstan purchases polypropylene granules in Russia and Uzbekistan. At the local market: The state programs adopted in Turkmenistan, aimed to stimulate the increase in the production of import substituting and export-oriented products, are contributed to the emergence of a number of new domestic products at the local market.
They, of course, should be at competitive position with imported analogues, which is impossible without high quality and environmentally friendly packaging.
Mass production of polypropylene film will help reduce the cost of packaging for local products, which, in turn, will affect to the total price of the product.
At the foreign market: As already mentioned, the availability of its own high-quality raw materials makes the polypropylene film produced at the TCOR cheaper, which is one of the main competitive advantages of the new plant.
The Turkmen BOPP film can be exported to many countries, including in Central Asia, as the packaging market in the region is highly dependent on resale.
In Turkmenistan, BOPP film can be purchased through the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange – one of the main economic institutions of the country, which well-established mechanism of work allows you to purchase goods at the most favorable terms both for the seller and for the buyer.
