New urban art objects for the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat

Day by day, the capital of Turkmenistan is being converted more and more, including new art objects designed intentionally for the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat. Being beautiful and original, they are installed at all administrative buildings of the city. 140 spectacular stands will be installed in Ashgabat for the anniversary celebrations.
The festive art objects are dedicated immediately to two important dates in the life of the country – the 30th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan and the anniversary of the capital.
In 2014, on the occasion of the City Day, the opening of the monument “My White City of Ashgabat” became a gift for the Turkmen capital. This monument, located on Makhtumkuli Avenue, is also known as “Ashgabat – the city of love”. It is surrounded by a park complex, where Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital love to spend their time in spring and summer. It is symbolic that the image of the monument was included in the composition of the anniversary art objects, the design of which was developed in the Main Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Ashgabat City Hall.
But this is not all the surprises awaiting the residents of Turkmenistan ahead of the holidays. In the jubilee year for the country, the opening of 30 large objects is expected, in addition, an international conference dedicated to architecture and construction will be held in Ashgabat. Students of the Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan will also make their contribution to the capital decoration.
In an interview with Mir-24 TV channel, art critic and teacher of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan Azat Annayev said,
“This year, our students and teachers of the Faculty of Architecture and Design are involved in the construction and design of new streets and new districts of the city with their projects. Now great opportunities are provided to talented young people, and their creativity can really be used for the benefit of the state.”
