On September 15, the eleventh meeting of the High-Level Working Group on the Caspian Sea began at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by delegations from Turkmenistan (headed by Murad G. Atajanov), Azerbaijan (headed by Samir Sharifov), Iran (headed by Kazem Garibabadi), Kazakhstan (headed by Zulfiya Amanzholova) and the Russian Federation (headed by Nikolai Udovichenko).

During the meeting, chaired by the Turkmen side, the participants discussed the methodology for establishing direct baselines in the Caspian Sea. A review of cooperation in the Caspian Sea was conducted and issues of preparation for the next meeting of foreign ministers and the creation of a working group of five states on the shallowing of the Caspian Sea were considered.

The eleventh meeting of the Working Group on the Caspian Sea continues its work.

The agenda of the meeting also included issues of holding the 7th Summit of the Caspian states in August 2026 and organizing the first international meeting of the heads of the coastal regions of the Caspian Sea.
