The renovated park “15 years of Turkmenistan’s Independence” opened in the center of Ashgabat
On September 13, the opening ceremony of the modernized park “15 years of Turkmenistan’s Independence” took place in Ashgabat. The event was attended by members of the Mejlis, representatives of ministries and departments, public organizations, the media, as well as elders, students and children.
The park, located between Andalib, Galkynysh and Gerogly avenues, received updated areas for leisure and sports: playgrounds were modernized, bike paths were laid, points of sale were equipped, lighting systems and other infrastructure were replaced, which creates a comfortable environment for city residents of all ages.
As part of the opening, concert and theatrical programs were held: performances by a children's violin ensemble, artists of the Turkmen State Puppet Theater and fairy-tale characters, who were especially liked by young guests.
The development of park areas in the city not only creates places for children, youth and adults to relax, but also forms cultural spaces: parks become venues for celebrations, concerts and public events, strengthening the sense of community among residents.
