President of Turkmenistan took part in the opening of the new complex of the border detachment "Serakhs"
On September 12, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the new complex of buildings of the border detachment "Serakhs" of the State Border Service.
The head of state arrived to the ceremony from Ashgabat by helicopter. Having received the report of Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdyev on the readiness to open the new facilities, the President of Turkmenistan cut the symbolic ribbon.
The new complex of the border detachment includes an administrative building, a parade ground, a canteen, a cultural center for 300 people, barracks, a medical unit, an open sports ground, a sports and fitness center, a parking lot for vehicles, and utility buildings.
During the inspection, Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the administrative building of the complex, the technical equipment of which fully complies with international standards. The latest equipment and communications facilities available here are clear evidence of the strengthening of the material and technical base of the National Army and the successful promotion of digitalization in all its structures.
The head of state also visited the barracks, which provide everything necessary for a full rest, life of military personnel, and the organization of interesting and useful leisure time in their free time.
During the visit to the border detachment, the President of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the new military equipment received by the military structures, its characteristics.
In addition, Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the canteen, which is equipped with modern kitchen equipment and food storage systems.
Then the President of Turkmenistan inspected residential buildings for military personnel and their families. Four buildings with 36 apartments are designed for 144 families; the residential sector has a store, a children's play area and sports grounds. The new residents moved into fully furnished apartments, including living rooms, children's rooms, bedrooms and kitchens.
The head of state talked to one of the servicemen who moved into a new house with his family. The border guard expressed sincere gratitude for the conditions created for the performance of official duties and a comfortable stay, assuring that he would successfully fulfill his sacred duty, following his military oath.
Then the President of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the work of a retail outlet on the territory of the border complex, offering a wide range of everyday products, including domestic food and household goods.
The territory adjacent to the new residential buildings has also been improved, where a variety of flowers, ornamental shrubs and shady trees have been planted. The local medical unit is equipped with everything necessary to provide highly qualified medical care.
At the end of his visit, the head of state presented the keys to new vehicles to the Chief of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the opening of a new complex of buildings of the Serakhs border detachment.
