A plant for production of polypropylene film is opened at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries


Today, at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, a solemn ceremony of commissioning of a plant for production of biaxially-oriented polypropylene film (BOPF) took place.
The plant is capable to produce 21,000 tons of BOPF annually. The total cost of the project is about 31 million 700 thousand Euros.
The TPP 382 BF polypropylene that produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries and which complies with international standards regulating the production of packages for medicines and food products will be the raw material for the plant’s products.
During the operation of the plant in the test mode, the production of a simple and three-layer film with the thickness of 10, 20 and 30 microns was mastered. About 40 tons of trial products were successfully realized at the trades of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.
BOPF as a high-demand product can be applied widely, including food, textile, pharmaceutical, perfume, cosmetics, agriculture and many other industries.
