Turkmen cotton growers to start harvesting campaign on September 10
On September 10, cotton harvesting, a strategically important crop for the national economy, will start in all regions of Turkmenistan.
At a government meeting on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev reported to the head of state on readiness for the upcoming harvest. All necessary measures were taken to prepare equipment, collection points and specialized enterprises.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of an organized campaign, approved the start date of the cotton harvest and instructed to organize practical seminars for cotton growers, experienced specialists, scientists and machine operators to ensure timely harvesting.
Along with preparations for the cotton harvest, organized sowing of winter wheat for next year's harvest is already underway in the country's regions.
