In Ashgabat, a series of practical classes for schoolchildren were organized as part of the month-long campaign, "Road safety - the peace of our lives." The event took place at the Children's Driving School under the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Around 80 students from the 7th and 8th grades of the capital's schools participated in the engaging and educational event. The main goal was to teach them how to behave properly on the road and interact with special-purpose vehicles.

A representative from the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs spoke to the students about their responsibilities as road users and the rules of conduct when encountering police and other emergency vehicles. Special attention was given to the specific features of vehicles used by the police and special services.

One of the most exciting moments was the practical demonstration of the special vehicles' equipment. Students were shown a clear demonstration of how the signaling devices work and were taught their purpose.

"I really liked it! The fire truck was especially memorable. When they showed us how it works, I was thrilled! It's so big and powerful. I've always considered firefighters to be true heroes, and after these classes, I'm even more certain that I want to become a firefighter to help people," shared Islam Geldymyradov, a student from Ashgabat Secondary School No. 66.

The classes were a collaborative effort between several departments and organizations: the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Main Education Department of Ashgabat of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, and the public organization "Young Naturalist."

"As part of the ongoing road safety month, unique events organized throughout the country are helping young people learn the rules and responsibilities of pedestrians and drivers. These practical classes have become an important platform where schoolchildren are visually taught road safety requirements and the principles of a healthy lifestyle," noted Dunya Sadykova, a specialist from the "Young Naturalist" public organization.

At the end of the event, all participants received memorable gifts and were wished success in their studies. Initiatives like these play a vital role in forming a culture of safe road behavior from an early age.
