In 2026, Kazakhstan will host the first CIS Fair
The first CIS Fair will be held in Kazakhstan in 2026, in the historical city of Taraz. The event will become a platform for demonstrating crafts, folk art and innovative products of the agro-industrial complex of the CIS countries. The fair program also includes cultural and educational events, product presentations and familiarization with the traditions and national heritage of the participants.
The idea of holding the fair, designed to be held annually in the cities of the CIS countries along the Silk Road route, was discussed at the first meeting of the expert group for the preparation of the interstate program in Moscow. The experts agreed on the key provisions of the draft regulations for holding the fair and planned to continue the work at the next meeting in October 2025.
