Hasselblad introduces the medium format X2D II 100C camera with 10-stop stabilization
Hasselblad has released its new medium format mirrorless camera, the X2D II 100C. The new model features several key improvements: continuous autofocus, full HDR shooting support, and a class-leading 10-stop optical stabilization.
At the core of the camera is an upgraded 100-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, which allows for 16-bit RAW image capture. The sensor's dynamic range is 15.3 stops, and the base ISO has been lowered to 50.
The X2D II 100C is the first medium format camera to support HDR. It also features a continuous autofocus system based on phase focusing and LiDAR. Deep learning technology is used for recognizing objects in the frame, such as people and vehicles.
Other notable features include a built-in 1TB solid-state drive, an OLED display with HDR support and a brightness of 1400 cd/m², and an updated design. The camera now includes a joystick for navigation, a new customizable button, and its weight has been reduced to 840 grams (7.5% lighter than its predecessor).
