Rashid Meredov: Ashgabat and Moscow are doing everything together to strengthen regional formats
Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov said at a press conference that he had discussed Caspian issues with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, which will be resolved by the countries of the region in the very near future, TASS reports.
The diplomat emphasized that Ashgabat and Moscow are doing everything together today to strengthen regional formats. "Central Asia + Russia" - we are preparing for the next, second summit of our leaders in October this year in Tajikistan. We have now discussed the Caspian issue in detail. And there are issues here that Turkmenistan, the Russian Federation, and their neighbors will resolve together in the very near future," he said following the talks with the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
On Thursday, Meredov held talks with Lavrov in Moscow. The ministers discussed current issues on the bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian agendas, and exchanged views on international and regional issues.
