Nvidia releases a new app to improve performance on RTX 40 cards
Nvidia has announced the final release of its new application, the Nvidia App. This utility, an assistant program for system management, combines the best features of GeForce Experience and the NVIDIA Control Panel. The main new feature is that it gives owners of RTX 40-series graphics cards an advanced technology that was previously only available on the newest RTX 50-series cards.
The key new addition is support for the Smooth Motion technology for driver-level frame generation. This feature, which significantly boosts in-game performance, is now also available to users of RTX 40-series graphics cards.
In addition, the app now includes the option for global activation of DLSS for all games at once, making performance management even easier. The new utility will be available to all users starting August 26.
